LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM FRAME
Carrying around extra weight is never fun, which is why Divide is constructed with lightweight 6061 aluminum alloy. It features an oversized 34.9mm seat tube, which provides extra stiffness and support for pedaling.
SR SUNTOUR SUSPENSION FORK
(DIVIDE LTD MODEL)
All of those little bumps on the road add up, and a suspension fork offers the best way to prevent those vibrations from making their way through your hands and into your body. With 80mm of suspension travel, Divide’s SR SUNTOUR XCE28 fork will absorb the bumps and help you keep control.
TEKTRO MECHANICAL DISC BRAKES
Having more braking power gives you much more control over your bike, which is why we spec’ed Divide with Tektro mechanical disc brakes. They also perform much better than standard brakes in less than optimal weather, which is important for year-round riders.
WATER BOTTLE MOUNTS
Depending on frame size, Divide features mounts on either the down tube, seat tube, or both to easily attach a water bottle holder, tire pump, or spare tool kit.
WHEEL SIZE
Smaller wheels for shorter riders, bigger wheels for taller riders. Proportion makes sense to us, which is why smaller Divide sizes (13”, 15”, and both step-over sizes) feature 27.5” wheels and larger sizes (17”, 19”, and 21”) feature 29” wheels.
SEALED CARTRIDGE BOTTOM BRACKET
Keeping the pedals turning smoothly makes bike riding enjoyable, and Divide’s sealed cartridge bottom bracket requires much less maintenance than a lower-cost loose bearing design. This is particularly true for bikes that see sub-optimal conditions like sand or excessive moisture.
21-SPEED SHIMANO DRIVETRAIN
Divide features enough gearing to go just about anywhere. A 42/34/24t crankset matched to a 14-34t cassette and Shimano shifter/derailleur provides ample gearing at both ends; low gears for climbing and high gears for top speed.
QUICK-RELEASE WHEEL AXLES
Both front and rear wheels on Divide are easily removable with a quick-release lever mechanism. Disc brakes also make wheel removal and reinstallation easier and more straightforward.
Shimano Drivetrain
Divide models both feature 3×7 Shimano drivetrains, which bring exceptional value, reliability, and miles upon miles of smooth shifting. Add Tektro mechanical disc brakes and these bikes become perfect for city riding, commuting, light recreational trails, and everything in between.
