Komodo is built around a strong, lightweight aluminum frame with oversized triple-butted 6061 aluminum alloy. Boost 148mm spacing in the rear pairs with a one-piece bottom bracket shell and drive-side chain stay yoke, which together offer a strong and lightweight solution for added tire clearance.

TAPERED HEAD TUBE

Front end stiffness is a key performance factor for an aggressive trail bike. One of the main benefits of a tapered head tube is optimal stiffness, as a tapered tube will always be more rigid than a cylindrical one. This offers increased cornering precision and riding feedback.

CABLE ROUTING

Cable routing isn’t all about looks. It can effect how well critical components function. Komodo’s gear and dropper post cables are neatly routed internally through the down tube. The rear brake cable is routed 100% externally for ease of brake maintenance.

TUBELESS-READY

Tubeless setups allow for lower tire pressures, which means increased traction with the added benefit of improved small puncture resistance. WTB Vigilante 2.5 and Trail Boss 2.4 tires feature TCS technology and Stan’s wheels are pre-taped and ready to be set up tubeless.

UPDATED GEOMETRY

Performance-level mountain bike wheelbases are getting longer, and Komodo’s updated geometry features generous top tube lengths paired with a slack head tube angle. The longer wheelbases are matched with a steeper seat tube angle for optimal rider weight distribution.

SHIMANO DEORE DRIVETRAIN

Shimano’s 12-speed Deore drivetrain offers enough gearing for all types of rides without the need for multiple chainrings. A 12-speed cassette featuring Hyperglide+ technology keeps shifting smooth while the Deore Shadow+ rear derailleur reduces chain slap.

Having adequate brake power helps you ride faster. Knowing how and when to brake is key, and your equipment needs to be ready to act on your input. Komodo features powerful Shimano 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes matched with 180mm rotors for consistent stopping power.

ROCK SHOX 35 SILVER TK FORK

Komodo’s Rock Shox 35 Silver TK features a tapered steerer tube, TurnKey lockout, 35mm stanchions and a 15mm thru axle. It’s also got fender mounts for those that ride in sloppy conditions. This combination makes for an extremely capable, supportive front end.

Komodo’s rear end is solid, they way an aggressive hardtail should be. A 12mm thru-axle and robust chainstays promote torsional rigidity, which will you’ll no doubt notice when whipping through corners or rallying through rock sections.
