REYNOLDS 520 STEEL FRAME
We’ve used steel as a frame material for Dragon models ever since their inception in 1993. This latest Dragon is no different, constructed using legendary Reynolds 520 steel tubing. Features include Boost 148mm spacing, a replaceable derailleur hanger and ISCG-05 chain guard tabs.
UDPATED GEOMETRY
Performance-level mountain bike wheelbases are getting longer, and Dragon’s updated geometry features generous top tube lengths paired with a slack head tube angle. The longer wheelbases are matched with a steeper seat tube angle for optimal rider weight distribution.
TUBELESS-READY
Tubeless setups allow for lower tire pressures, which means increased traction with the added benefit of improved small puncture resistance. WTB Vigilante 2.5 and Trail Boss 2.4 tires feature TCS technology and Stan’s wheels are pre-taped and ready to be set up tubeless.

CABLE ROUTING
Cable routing isn’t all about looks. Solid routing can have a big effect on component performance and general ease of maintenance. Dragon features 100% externally routed gear and brake cables to keep things simple. Dropper routing is external before entering the seat tube on the non-drive side.
FOX 34 RHYTHM FLOAT FORK
Dragon’s Fox 34 Rhythm fork features 140mm travel, a tapered steerer tube, 34mm stanchions and a 15mm thru-axle. Fox’s GRIP damper uses FIT technology to provide consistent damping and support while increasing durability.
SHIMANO SLX DRIVETRAIN
Shimano’s 12-speed SLX drivetrain offers enough gearing for all types of rides without the need for multiple chainrings. A 12-speed cassette featuring Hyperglide+ technology keeps shifting smooth while the SLX Shadow+ rear derailleur reduces chain slap.
SHIMANO 4-PISTON BRAKES
Having adequate brake power helps you ride faster. Knowing how and when to brake is key, and your equipment needs to be ready to act on your input. Dragon features powerful Shimano 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes matched with 180mm rotors for consistent stopping power.
