Matt grew up racing BMX and shifted to dirt jumps and riding skateparks at 15 where he felt he could be more creative with his riding. He got into riding mountain bikes in his late 20’s, where his flow and style from BMX allowed him to go faster and bigger. Once Canada’s RYDER DISTRIBUTION picked up JAMIS BIKES they got him to check out the Hardline and the rest is history!
Matt’s favorite type of trail riding involves primarily jump and flow trails. He says, “they just always feel amazing no matter where I go ride. My go-to tricks are tuck no-handers and nac-nacs.”
When he’s not on his bike you can find Matt managing and building at Horseshoe Resort Bike Park, which is the only lift-access bike park in Ontario. In the winter time he’s out building and snowboarding in the terrain park.
