The top and down tubes of the Xenith Endura frame are tri-ovalized for optimal stiffness in the lightest possible package. This tubing design orients the axis of
each of the ovals to increase lateral stiffness while optimizing vertical compliance.

It’s lighter! By eliminating the BB cups and using a larger diameter alloy spindle, crank and BB weight can be reduced by up to 12%. It’s narrower! With the bearings inside the BB shell, crank width is reduced, increasing ankle clearance. It’s stiffer! increasing spindle diameter increases crankset stiiffness. It’s more durable! BB30 bearings are larger than conventional or external BB bearings, yielding longer
bearing life.

Using our 54 and 56cm frames as the SST (size-specific-tubing) “norm”, we construct our 44, 48 and 51cm frames with 10% smaller outer diameter top and down tubes, while using 10% larger top & down tubes for the 58 and 61cm frames. The result is a
more consistent ride quality across all frame sizes.

Brake calipers typically specified on road bikes have a reach range of 39 - 49mm. This is fine if riders are willing to accept limiting their tire size choices to 23 or 25c widths. But we think the Endura rider will appreciate having long reach calipers (47 - 57mm range) spec’ed instead, allowing for the installation of tire widths up to 32c.
