AEG-TOSHIBA-JetNetwork Norris Crowned National Champion

AEG-TOSHIBA-JetNetwork Pro Cycling’s Keith Norris added one of the most coveted titles to his palmares Sunday in the USA Cycling National Championships in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania U23 Criterium.

The 60-kilometer feature event’s blistering pace averaged 30 miles per hour and showcased the country’s best U23 riders, including large numbers from VMG and Slipstream who were animated throughout the day. Norris’ teammate Bobby Sweeting did the lion’s share of covering moves and keeping the pace high with support from Winston David who showed good form since recovering from a bout of mononucleosis in the last month.

As the race came down to the final laps it seemed like it may end up as a bunch gallop to the line. Norris sat in the front of the field patiently and unleashed his trademark furious finish going into the final corner of the race and was able to hold off the hard charging field for his fifth and biggest win of the season.

Next up for the AEG-TOSHIBA-JetNetwork Pro Cycling Team includes the Wells Fargo Twilight Criterium in Boise, Idaho (race number 6 in the USA CRITS Series) and the International Tour de Toona. The team then prepares for the Presbyterian Invitational Criterium (Charlotte, NC), the Crossroads Cycling Series (NC), the Tour of Elk Grove (IL), and the US Pro Criterium Championships in Downers Grove (IL).
