It’s only when you factor in weight that it loses out to aluminum, and until you get into the super expensive carbon frames like our Xenith line, its magical ride simply cannot be matched. Which is why our Quest and Satellite continue to enjoy a devoted following. These are the original comfort road bikes and the ones against which all others are measured.

But they don’t look like the original Quest and Satellite. New for ’08, we’ve brought our size-specific tubing (SST) concept from our Xenith and Ventura series bikes and offer it on both models. While re-jigging and re-tooling, we also sloped the top tube for a lighter frame and more modern look that sacrificed nothing in terms of ride quality. These are the consummate all-rounders -- light-duty commuter, cross country tourers, even occasional racers -- that are ideal for century riders and summertime roadies alike.

Size Specific Tubing (SST) whereby smaller frames (48-54) are constructed with smaller diameter tubing to retain resiliency and ride quality, larger frames are constructed using larger diameter tubing to retain stiffness for larger riders
Reynolds 631 air-hardened chromoly actually gains strength in the weld zone area, instead of losing it like all other welded material, allowing Reynolds to draw this tubing thinner, for a lighter, stiffer frame with outstanding “feel”.
