The XAM mp3 multi-link suspension design is optimized for strength and stiffness in the lightest weight package possible. Designed to offer superb pedaling efficiency with absolute downhill competency. it includes 10mm shock hardware for increased lateral & torsional stiffness and enhanced rear shock durability and performance.

TruVativ’s Hammerschmidt transmission technology is Truly innovative! it’s more than that. it’s brilliant! Think of it as an internally geared hub in your bottom bracket shell, that eliminates your front derailleur and all of your chainrings ‘cept one, without sacrificing gear range. You can now downshift in the front while you’re drinking a beer without losing your chain or mis-shifting.


We position the bearings outboard on our forged and CNC’ed unified bell crank for the same reasons cranksets with external bottom bracket bearing designs do so: for increased support and lateral stiffness. We’ve also modified our chainstay yoke and stay tooling to produce an even stronger and stiffer swing arm.


	We’ve been using the Maxle 12mm x 150mm thru- axle wheel retention system on our BAM for a few years now and totally appreciate what it does to stiffen and strengthen the rear of the bike. Not to mention safely secure the rear wheel while still making it easy to remove quickly for tire changes. in fact, we like it so much we modified the XAM frame to accept the 135mm version.
